my heart aches for LA
I wanted to take a moment to share something personal and remind us all why now is such an important time to show up for our businesses.
My heart has been heavy and it's been difficult to express my heart with everything happening in Los Angeles. As an Angelino, my heart breaks with my local community, my friends, and family affected by the LA Wildfires.
I'm grateful to be safe. I'm one of the fortunate ones.
I’ve been navigating my own real life challenges, like needing to move out of my home in 6-8 weeks and all the layers that come with that process. Originally, the deadline was this week, so the timeline shift is a blessing, but the pressure is still real.
I know many of us are feeling the weight of what’s happening in our communities and the world right now. There's so much happening.. And the truth, more is coming. La vida no para.
It can overwhelming, especially when we’re also told how to run/market our businesses or give away our resources to help.. PERO let me say this loud and clear:
Showing up for your business IS showing up for your community.
Your work matters, your life matters and your voice matters. When we, as Jefas, keep moving forward.. creating, selling, building, and growing.. We’re not just helping ourselves, we get to generate the extra income to give back to our communities and serve from a stronger position.
So if you’re in a version of survival mode like me, take it one step at a time. Focus on what’s in front of you. You don’t need to have it all figured out.. you just need to keep showing up. Pasito a pasito. #showupjefa
I’m here navigating this season with you, and I believe in the power of this community to rise + rebuild together. Let’s keep going, Jefas. We’ve got this.
To my LA Jefas, stay safe. Tap in with a proof of life. Sending you SO MUCH love to you and your people. Aqui estamos. JUNTAS.
Remember to breathe + be kind to yourself. No estas sola. We're here.
